Everyone is talking about COVID-19
So we are all or should be at home, understood. It seems that with that people are more in tune with creativity, which is great for those who were already there. It is important. We are all creative, it is part of human nature. You have to nurture it to understand that it is there.
Benjamin Hardy writes about 21 behaviors that will help you nurture your creativity… the funny thing is, this is from 2017. Check it out.
“When you see things from multiple perspectives, you realize you can achieve almost anything you want…” Benjamin Hardy
“Creativity makes new things and makes old things new—new problems, new solutions, new realities—things not conceived before.”
~ Lois Hetland
While thinking about the importance of creativity, it is important to keep a broad view. It happens frequently that a focus on artistic endeavors comes with the idea that something or someone is creative. I feel that Sir Ken Robinson makes an important distinction when he writes, “Creativity is not only about the arts. Work in the arts can be highly creative but so can anything that involves intelligence.” (Robinson, 2017) I would add that there is more to creativity than being visually literate.
